Hes got a pool table and gave me doctor peper from the early 2000's. I love it.

I am so glad that we ended up here. Really excellent Chinese food. The cook/owner was super nice and worked hard to make our meal and experience awesome. There is no reason that a town this small have a Chinese restaurant this good, but I'm glad it does. It's worth going a little out of your way.

This IS THE Best Chinese I have ever had. Just passing through and i am one happy Truck Driver. Highly recommend this place. The Owner/Chef/Server is very entertaining. Thank you Mr Li 👌

Its a nice homey place to eat only downside is sometimes the order gets mixed up but the food is great!

Lee is an excellent cook of Chinese cuisine. He is also very attentive to his customers. His food is authentic, because he is from China. Council Idaho is a small town, and it is lucky to have such a good Chinese restaurant available.

We were passing through Council after a day of mushroom hunting & decided to stop at Li's to grab a bite to eat. We discovered a hidden gem!Best Chinese food we have ever eaten with fun service! We will be going back just for the food, definitely worth the trip!

The orange chicken was absolutely atrocious! Whatever you do, do NOT order the orange chicken. The honey almond prawns however, are delicious! Highly recommend those puppies. The owner was very nice, so kind to our little one.

Enjoyed our 5 course meal of chicken, beef and onions, chow mien, pork fried rice and shrimp. Very friendly owner and chef. Food was amazing. I'd definitely go back!!!

I highly recommend this place! We got the Mongolian beef and General Tso's, I couldn't decide which one I liked better! Prices were great for how much food you got. We will definitely be back. Thank you Mr. Li!

Certainly more than meets the eye. A small, low-key venue with a bar, restaurant seating, and a pool table. The food is outstanding! We dined here during off-peak hours, so had the pleasure of receiving personalized service from the chef/owner, who was extremely courteous and efficient. Food was prepared fresh, in sight of customers in the dining area. Reasonably priced and well worth the money.Also, one of the cleanest and best maintained Chinese restaurants I've ever visited.

The food was absolutely incredible! My husband said this food truly reminded him of being in China or Thailand. He said it was the closest hes had in the states since leaving China. We're sad we don't live here or otherwise we would come in everyday! Li, the chef, was extremely nice to us and was so much fun to be around. I would reccomend this to anyone I meet.

Absolutely delicious food prepared and served by one of the nicest chefs you'll ever meet. There can be a bit of a wait when it's busy so plan ahead if you can! (It's well worth the wait, though)

The man was run out of McCall and banned from all grocery stores was caught dumpster diving for chicken to use in his restaraunt banned from the store in Council as of now .... cleanliness is very much in question use to be a customer until this all came to my attention .... TOTALLY UP TO YOU ... I’ll never eat there again

Rarely do I recommended a restaurant to anyone outside my family, but this place is so deserving! Mr Li - owner, chef, and server - is one of the most friendly and hospitable restaurateurs I've ever seen. He makes you feel like you're a regular even though it's your first visit. What a treat! The food is absolutely wonderful. We especially enjoy the sesame chicken, honey chicken and beef and broccoli. And the fried rice? Off the Charts! Next time you find yourself in Council, don't just drive through. Stop at Mr Li's Kitchen and experience a man who is living his passion!

Authentic Chinese food. We have been there a couple of times and will definitely return. Li is a cheerful host and serves his dishes with pride.

Li is a very friendly and gentle spirited man and a great cook. He is working hard to make something of an old bar where he puts out great food in a not so great atmosphere. Li and his food are worth a shot in spite of the building he has to contend with.

Very unique dining experience. Li was overly nice. He took our menu's and just asked what we like and made us some General Tso's and some beef and asparagus. It was decent chicken. He then charged me and my 13 yr old 31$. We hardly took any food home". It was too much $ for the small amount and quality of food. We won't be back.

Authentic Chinese food by a classicly trained Chinese chef. Food was quite good, and the owner is a character!

Mr. Li has hit hard times. He lost his original location and has moved down the street just a little bit. He hasn't had enough money to hook up his commercial cooking equipment. He cooks for you out of an electric Wok and a small electric deep fat fryer. I don't know how much longer he'll be able to keep going. The meals that I've had have been okay however.

I wasn't sure about this place at first glance, but we decided to give it a chance. I'm glad we did! Very good Chinese food! Not typical at all. We are pretty sure the chef/owner makes all his sauces by scratch because they certainly didn't taste like the same "bottled sauce" you often get at a lot of other Chinese restraunts.We had a large group and had about 5-6 different dishes served family-style. The owner/chef/server was happy to accommodate. The food came out fast and was quite good! Some of the best Sesame Chicken I've ever had! My only complaint might be that the General Tso's Chicken was not nearly spicy enough and could have used some more red/chili peppers. Good food. Friendly & quick service. Definitely worth a stop if you are passing through or staying in the area.
